Gosh, this looks so complex. On the 1 hand, kudos for keeping the Meseta pso2 game intact so there won't be a riot over changes people do not like. But on the other hand, since they are remaking base PSO2 visuals anyway, I wish they would only go 100 percent and synchronize character models completely. Giving old players a few free fashion items and unlocks will be sufficient to bribe everyone to take the new system.
Synchronizing 100% personality models doesn't sound simple. The dilemma is that the old outfits and coating wear are modeled to match the old pso2 body. That's not likely to occur. I mean that I'd be willing to drop a certain percentage of these cosmetics to keep things intact across variations. As long as there's a steady feed of cool new stuff to replace it, I do not mind. I always rotate out my older appearances anyhow. So long as the character versions translate 1:1 it will still feel just like mine.
I would envision a large complication to this PSO2 Meseta for sale entails a lot of the cosmetics from the Japanese side of things that were exclusive to collaborations, promotional events, and events which no longer exist. The example I can think of is that the Monster Hunter Frontier Z cooperation where I can envision the clothes and weapons could unquestionably be provided a visual update alongside everything else but I don't exactly know how the licensing or how the lawful side of the collaboration works where I would wish it had been as easy as Sega going through and upgrading the assets but I don't know about just how much of Capcom is involved in this procedure.
